Issue #4824 proposes a direct booking channel for LodgingBusiness; the author of the Vacation Rental Protocol commented on 2026-09-02: "For machine consumers that distinction should be verifiable, not only declared." PR #4871 links Product, and also Offer, to a passport by hasDigitalProductPassport, a sub-property of hasCertification; a reviewer wrote "Privacy will also need some consideration if "product" passports are not to become proxy identifiers for their holders, traders and purchasers." PR #4861 (2026-07-23) says "This puts several pending schema types and properties into GA (General Availability)."
